Foundation’s October 2012 Brunch Honors Two Saratoga Women

The Saratoga Springs Rotary Education Foundation presented two local women with Community Service Awards at its thirteenth annual fundraising brunch on Sunday, October 21 at the Saratoga Springs City Center. The two honorees were Jeannette Jordan, former features editor and society columnist at The Saratogian, and Libby Smith-Holmes, previously a writer, editor, and program manager for the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation’s water program. Both women have also been active volunteers in numerous community organizations.

About the two recipients of this year’s awards, Florence Andresen, the Foundation’s event chair since its inception and a longtime Saratoga Rotarian commented, “It is always fascinating to select our honorees, from a community so rich in volunteer and professional talent. This year’s two recipients bring a wealth of stories and inspiration to us, not only from their professional lives but also from their many volunteer activities.
